I met Erin and Jonny about 2 years ago, as our kids went to the same pre-school, and we became friends on the playground even more than our kids themselves were! So when Erin asked me to photograph their wedding, I was incredibly honored – being able to capture someone’s wedding is always a little more special when they are already near and dear to your heart before the journey even begins! But it’s been a long journey for the two of them, and it all led up to a fantastic summer wedding at the incredibly gorgeous Whitney in Detroit! (hint, hint, I want to shoot WAY more weddings at The Whitney future clients! It’s awesome there!)
Even though the rain had other plans for their outdoor garden wedding, (it was moved it into the intimate landing in front of the stained glass window), nothing could stop Erin and her smile that lights up the room! She looked radiant as she excitedly descended the stairs to the waiting Jonny. the entire ceremony was incredibly personal, emotional, and beautiful, and I can’t wish them enough congratulations for the road ahead!
